Find PWCC Release Status

To find someone released from Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center, use Idaho’s statewide corrections records rather than the Bingham County jail roster. A move from Bingham Detention to this prison is a commitment into state custody, not a community release. A later prison exit may lead to parole or another form of supervision before the sentence ends. The Idaho Department of Correction search, Commission actions, IDOC records, and the sentencing case each show a different part of that path. Together they distinguish prison release, supervised status, and final discharge.

PWCC Release and Supervision

Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center is an Idaho Department of Correction prison, not a Bingham County jail. A person committed there remains in state custody. When that person later leaves the prison on parole, she is in the community but still under IDOC supervision and legal custody. Final discharge is a different event, usually reflected by sentence satisfaction.

This distinction controls the search route. The Bingham roster can help document the earlier county custody and transfer. It cannot confirm a later PWCC parole or discharge. Use IDOC’s Resident/Client Search for current state status, then Commission records and the sentencing case for context.

Search PWCC Release Records

Open the official IDOC Resident/Client Search. Search with last name and optional first name, or with an IDOC number. IDOC requires a last name or number. Partial last-name searches need at least two characters, while a partial IDOC number needs at least three digits. Compare candidates carefully and open the detail record.

1
Read overall Status.

Determine whether the person is incarcerated, supervised, or shown with a historical trace.

2
Check the office or facility.

PWCC indicates prison custody; a supervision office points to a community status.

3
Read sentence fields.

Compare Released to Supervision and Sentence Satisfaction Date.

4
Confirm a mismatch.

Use IDOC Records Information or the responsible office when status changed recently.

IDOC says the database updates daily but warns that location, status, and termination information can change fast. Daily is not real time. A same-day discrepancy belongs with IDOC, not an assumption based on an old screen.

PWCC Release Field Meanings

An IDOC detail page can show name, IDOC number, Status, age, mailing address, and facility or office contact information. Sentence rows may display Offense, Sentencing County, Case No., Status, Released to Supervision, Sentence Satisfaction Date, and Next Parole Hearing Date. Each label has a limited meaning.

IDOC field How to read it
Released to Supervision Most recent placement on court or Commission supervision
Sentence Satisfaction Date Sentence endpoint, not automatically the prison gate date
Next Parole Hearing Date A scheduled event, not a promised release
Status The best first indicator of prison or supervision posture

A probationer may enter supervision without serving at PWCC. A parolee has left prison but has not completed the sentence. IDOC also says people who served time and satisfied their sentences may remain searchable by name without conviction details. That limited trace can support identity but not supply a complete discharge record.

PWCC Parole Decision Records

The Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole publishes hearing schedules and Notices of Action Taken. A parole eligibility date means the first point when a person may be considered. A tentative parole date remains conditional. Release planning, an approved residence, programming, holds, and other requirements can affect physical release even after a favorable decision.

Check the Commission decision, then return to IDOC status. A next hearing date is not an exit date, and a grant is not proof that the person has already left PWCC. The projected release guide explains why Idaho sentence and parole dates can differ.

PWCC Records and Corrections

When the public search is incomplete or seems wrong, use the IDOC Records Information portal linked from the search. Identify the person by full name and IDOC number, specify the disputed field, state the correction sought, and include the supporting court or Commission document. Correction of an official record does not promise removal of copies held elsewhere.

A sentencing-county case can explain the judgment and commitment. For a Bingham case, Magistrate Court may show the preliminary felony stage, while District Court carries the bound-over felony. Court access may be restricted under Idaho Court Administrative Rule 32. A missing public case is not proof that state custody never existed.

PWCC Contact and Lookup

The Bingham research identifies PWCC and the correct IDOC release path but does not supply a verified prison street address, direct telephone number, visiting schedule, or records desk hours. Do not borrow county jail contacts for this prison. Obtain current facility information through the official IDOC facility directory or through the contact shown on the matching Resident/Client detail.

Facility staff handle prison operations, while IDOC records and the Commission supply the more durable public release trail. Use the statewide source even when the sentence began with a Bingham County booking.

After PWCC Prison Release

Bingham County is in IDOC District 7. The state directory identifies a Blackfoot satellite office for felony supervision. Bingham County Probation explicitly says that it is not felony probation and parole, so it should not be used to confirm a parolee’s status. County probation addresses local matters under its own authority.

If the detail record says Released to Supervision, confirm the assigned office before arranging contact. If it shows Sentence Satisfaction Date, do not assume that date was the first day outside PWCC. Compare the parole or release field, Commission action, and court sentence. VINE may provide a custody-change notice, but IDOC remains the main status source for this state prison.

Idaho’s unified sentence has determinate and indeterminate portions. The determinate term comes before parole eligibility. The indeterminate term is the remaining period in which the Commission may consider release. That is why eligibility, tentative parole, physical exit, and full-term dates can differ. A hearing or tentative date does not promise that release planning has finished.

Do not calculate a guaranteed PWCC exit from sentence arithmetic. Recalculation, consecutive terms, warrants, revocation, holds, and release-plan requirements can change the path. Idaho’s narrow good-conduct reduction is not a general day-for-day credit. Keep every official label intact. Released to Supervision supports a supervision event, while Sentence Satisfaction Date supports the endpoint of the sentence.

PWCC Sentence Date Review

Idaho’s unified sentence has a determinate portion and an indeterminate portion. The determinate term is the fixed period that precedes parole eligibility. The indeterminate term is the remaining period in which the Commission may consider release. This structure explains why a parole eligibility date, tentative parole date, physical prison exit, and full-term release date can differ. None of those labels should be substituted for another.

A tentative parole date remains subject to the steps required before physical release. Release planning, an approved residence, programming, holds, and other lawful conditions can affect when a person actually leaves PWCC. A Commission Notice of Action Taken documents the Commission’s action. The later IDOC Status and Released to Supervision fields are better evidence that the move into community supervision occurred.

Do not calculate a guaranteed PWCC exit from sentence arithmetic. Recalculation, consecutive terms, warrants, revocation, and release-plan requirements can change the path. Idaho’s good-conduct provision is narrow and should not be presented as a general day-for-day credit. Keep every date under its official label. Released to Supervision supports a supervision event, while Sentence Satisfaction Date supports the endpoint of the sentence. A person may leave prison well before that endpoint and remain under IDOC authority.
